Groupings

Organize volunteers into family groups for easier management and coordination.

Groupings let you organize volunteers into family groups — cohorts of people who are connected and may want to be scheduled together or managed as a unit.

Who Can Access This

  • All team members can view their own family group.
  • Owners and Administrators can create, edit, and delete groups and manage membership.

What You'll See

Your Family Group

At the top of the page, you'll see your own family group (if you belong to one). This card shows the group name and lists all members.

All Family Groups (Admin)

Below your personal group, administrators see a table of all family groups with:

  • Group Name — the name of the group.
  • Member Count — how many volunteers are in the group.
  • Members — a preview of member names.

Managing Groups (Admin Only)

Creating a Group

  1. Click the Add Group button (+ icon).
  2. Enter a name for the group.
  3. Click Add Group.

Managing Members

Click the Manage Members button on any group to open a dialog where you can add or remove volunteers from the group.

Editing a Group

Click the pencil icon to rename a group.

Deleting a Group

Click the trash icon to delete a group. A confirmation dialog will appear. Deleting a group does not delete the volunteers in it — they simply become ungrouped.

How Groups Are Created

Family groups can be created in two ways:

  1. Automatically — when a managed account is created with a guardian, a family group is automatically created connecting them.
  2. Manually — administrators can create groups from the Groupings page.

How Groupings Connect to Other Features

  • Volunteers — groups organize volunteers into logical units.
  • Family — guardians see their family group members on the Family page.
