This section provides detailed documentation for each feature in Ministry Steward. Use these pages to understand what each feature does, how to use it, and how it connects to other parts of the system.

Admin Features

• Overview Dashboard — Start each week with a clear snapshot of coverage, active volunteers, events in the next 7 days, items that need attention, volunteer unavailability, ministry counts, and quick links to common tools. The weekly schedule row shows each day’s events for the full day, while Attention Needed focuses on items that are still actionable. Owners and administrators see the full organization view. Ministry Leads see an admin-style view scoped to the ministries they lead, with those ministries shown at the top of the dashboard. Admins and Ministry Leads who also volunteer can switch to My Volunteer View from the Overview header. Longer attention and unavailability lists can be paged through without leaving the dashboard.

• Volunteers — Manage volunteer profiles, settings, and managed accounts.
• Events — Create and manage one-time or recurring events with staffing requirements.
• Scheduler — Automatically generate volunteer rosters for upcoming events.
• Announcements — Broadcast messages to volunteers, ministries, or events.
• Reports — Review upcoming rosters and identify staffing gaps.
• Members & Roles — Manage team membership, invitations, and role assignments.

Volunteer Features

• Overview Dashboard — Volunteers see their next scheduled assignment, recent announcements, upcoming schedule, availability summary, ministries, and family links.
• Calendar — View event schedules on an interactive calendar.
• Availability — Set unavailable dates and event preferences.
• Family — Manage dependent volunteers and their schedules.
• Groupings — View and manage volunteer family groups.
