Preparing a schedule should leave room for a leader's judgment. This update makes the roster preview more useful when you are balancing preferences, filling gaps, and deciding how much help a service needs.

Find the right person for an opening
The volunteer picker now offers filters and sorting by preference or best fit. You can focus on options without warnings, or review unavailable volunteers when you need to understand all the choices before making an intentional exception.
Adjust optional help during review
Include or exclude optional ministry requirements while working on the preview. This helps you decide where extra help would be useful before publishing the roster.
Plan the month and open sign-ups
The Next Month shortcut now selects the full upcoming calendar month. You can also open or close sign-ups for individual event dates, giving leaders control over when volunteers can take the remaining openings.
Owners and administrators can try these controls in the Scheduler and on individual Calendar events. Review the roster, make your adjustments, and publish when it is ready for volunteers.
